Meet Ayaan Ahsan, a filmmaker and media campaign producer based in Houston, TX. With over 15 years of expertise in postproduction and a profound understanding of music theory in film, Ayaan transforms ideas into compelling narratives that captivate audiences.

His portfolio spans over a decade, during which he has developed his skills in both production and postproduction. Ayaan has held various roles, including production assistant, gaffer, wardrobe department staff, 1st and 2nd Assistant Director, camera operator, and Director of Photography, ultimately progressing to produce and direct his own projects since 2013. Currently, Ayaan serves as a production consultant and excels as a lead editor, postproduction producer, and director for a wide range of media campaigns, music videos, and commercials across the U.S. His work transcends multiple industries, including music, food, oil and gas, and healthcare, consistently delivering powerful and impactful content from 2010 to 2019.

In 2019, Ayaan launched Ahsan Productions, step towards creating exceptional film and media campaigns even in publication/commercial photography. By 2021, he intensified his focus on elevating brands within the Muslim community, crafting campaigns that resonate on a professional scale. His entrepreneurial spirit and experience also led to the inception of the Halal Food Channel, LLC, and The American Ummah.

The Halal Food Channel, LLC (HFC Plus) 

is an innovative food network currently in development, dedicated to producing diverse food series and mini documentary films that resonate with Muslims globally. Ayaan is passionate about highlighting the talents of Muslim chefs, whose culinary stories have rich histories dating back to the 1960s. He aims to elevate the culinary arts within the Muslim community, advocating for a deeper appreciation of cooking as a genuine art form rather than merely a profit-driven endeavor. Through HFC Plus, Ayaan seeks to inspire the next generation of Muslims to value the dedication and hard work involved in culinary excellence, showcasing not just food, but also the culture and stories behind it.

The American Ummah (We the American Ummah)

is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating impactful film and media campaigns that amplify the voices and stories of diverse individuals. We produce a variety of content, including short documentary films, media campaigns, public service announcements, and informative media for nonprofit organizations striving to raise awareness and funds. Our mission is to push forward the narratives of the American Muslim community across the U.S., ensuring that their experiences are authentically represented.

As he looks towards 2024 and early 2025, Ayaan is committed to The American Ummah, where he aspires to inspire and mentor the next generation of Muslim filmmakers. His mission is to reclaim the narrative surrounding Muslims in Hollywood, shattering stereotypes and fostering authentic representation. Ayaan envisions building a school that cultivates talent and creates meaningful career opportunities, positioning film and media as respected professions within the Muslim community.
